A masked Chae-Ok helped Ma Chook Ji and Gak-Chul escape. Jang Sung Baek study the situation in the prison while hidden. Yoon orders gunfire toward Chae-Ok and the jailbreakers. The rebel group swoops down from the rooftop to enable the jailbreakers to escape, surprising Yoon. Chae-Ok helps fight off the other police. They manage to escape and meet up with Magistrate Choi. Gak-Chul is angry at Choi for wanting to poison him. Choi states it was an order from a higher authority. Sung-Baek tells him that his men's lives are in his hands. Choi asks about the identity of Ma Chook Ji and Chae-Ok, and asks Chae-Ok to remove the mask. Sung-Baek is shocked to see Chae-Ok but doesn't give her identity away. A suspicious Choi aims his gun at Chae-Ok, but Sung-Baek stops him in time. Soo-Myung, heavily injured, waits at Choi's room. Choi, upon arrival, was shocked to see her in this state.
At the King's palace, the other officers ridicule Commander Jo for having lax security at the prisoner. Commander Jo has a private audience with the King, telling the King to wait half a month and he will capture the rebels.
Sung-Baek tells Ma Chook Ji and Chae-Ok to leave. Chae-Ok, pretending to be male and mute, turns around to leave. Gak-Chul asks Sung-Baek to reconsider but he refuses. At the riverside, as Sung-Baek and Gak-Chul about to board a boat, police officers with the sketch of the two jailbreakers arrive to investigate the passengers. Just as the officers are about to inspect Gak-Chul, Ma Chook Ji steals someones bag and runs away to create a diversion. Chae-Ok, who was hiding under the port bridge jumps up to save Sung-Baek and Gak-Chul. The four of them managed to escape together. They drop off Sung-Baek and Gak-Chul somewhere and gets ready to leave when Sung-Baek calls out to them.
Byung-Taek goes through a series of tests to become a police offer. Having failed every single one of the physical tests (like archery, martial arts, etc.), Byung-Taek begs for another chance. He astonishes the officer in charge with his deep knowledge. As Yoon looks over while his men are practicing their sword and fight skills, he thinks of Chae-Ok. Commander Jo summonned Yoon to ask him what he thinks of his daughter.
At the rebel camp, Gak-Chul reunites with his daughter. Chae-Ok and Ma Chook Ji watch from afar, with the latter visibly touched. Won-Hae watches everything from afar.
Scholar Ahn dotes on his son's success in becoming an officer. Byung-Taek talks down to Vice-Commander Baek Jo-Won (since he outranks him), and asks about Chae-Ok's whereabouts. Baek Jo-Won tells him she left for an assignment.
At the rebel camp, Jang Sung-Baek is greeted by numerous rebels who kneel at his return. Chae-Ok and Ma Chook Ji realizes that this is not an ordinary band of rebels.
Yoon goes to see Commander Jo to ask him to grant him leave to visit his mother. Commander Jo refused. As Yoon leaves, he saw Lady Nan-Hee, who has sewn more cotton on his uniform. Lady Nan-Hee told him to wear the warmer clothing that she made. Yoon told her the cold is still bearable. Lady Nan-Hee is worried about Yoon's health, and Yoon tells her she doesn't need to. Yoon visits Chae-Ok's room at the police station. He remembers her words before their parting, and touches her blanket.
At the rebel's camp, while having a feast Chae-Ok and Ma Chook Ji were asked to drink strong wine, as they thank the two for saving Gak-Chul. Chae-Ok has drank several cups, which amazed the rebels. One of the rebels, Duk-Soo challenge Chae-Ok to target shooting when Sung-Baek told him Chae-Ok is better than Duk-Soo. Duk-Soo shoots darts with Gak-Chool standing at the target. Meanwhile, Chae-Ok who's vision is blurry from the alchohol, no one volunteers to stand at the target first. Sung Baek volunteers to go, and Chae-Ok throws her knives. Everyone was amazed with her skills. After everyone has left, Sung-Baek returns the knives to Chae-Ok, and thanks her for saving his life. Chae-Ok realizes that one of the knives has blood on it (it grazed Sung-Baek's ear). Sung-Baek tells her, whatever the reason she came here for, it doesn't matter, as he wishes to live with her here in the mountains for a long time. Chae-Ok stares at Sung-Baek as he leaves, with a slight smile on her face.
